Community Code of Conduct
The Rooted Wisdom community exists to support learning, connection, and respectful dialogue around herbalism, spiritual practice, and holistic wellness. Our goal is to create a space where people can explore knowledge, share experiences, and grow together in a spirit of curiosity and care.
By participating in The Rooted Wisdom website and community portal, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct.
Participation in the community indicates agreement with these guidelines.
1. Our Community Values
The Rooted Wisdom community is grounded in the following principles:
Respect
We honor the dignity, perspectives, and experiences of all members.
Curiosity
We approach learning with openness and humility.
Responsibility
We share knowledge thoughtfully and avoid presenting personal experiences as universal truths.
Care for the Living World
Our practices are rooted in respect for plants, ecosystems, and ancestral knowledge traditions.
Community Over Competition
We support each other’s growth rather than seeking status or authority within the space.
2. Expected Behavior
Members are expected to:
- Treat other members with kindness and respect
- Engage in thoughtful, constructive conversations
- Share knowledge responsibly and clearly identify personal experiences vs. verified information
- Respect cultural traditions and avoid appropriation or misrepresentation
- Be open to learning from others
- Respect the privacy of other members and conversations within the community
3. Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are not allowed within the community:
Harassment or Harm
- Personal attacks
- Bullying or intimidation
- Threatening language
- Discriminatory or hateful speech
Disruptive Conduct
- Trolling or intentionally provoking arguments
- Repeatedly derailing discussions
- Spamming or excessive self-promotion
Health Misinformation
- Presenting unsafe or dangerous advice as medical fact
- Discouraging members from seeking professional medical care
Intellectual Property Violations
- Sharing copyrighted course materials outside the community
- Redistributing paid educational content without permission
Cultural Disrespect
- Misrepresenting cultural traditions
- Claiming authority over traditions that are not yours to represent
4. Community Content and Privacy
Members may share ideas, questions, and experiences within the community.
Please remember:
- Community discussions are intended to remain within the community.
- Do not share screenshots or repost member discussions outside the community without permission.
- Avoid sharing sensitive personal information.
5. Moderation
The Rooted Wisdom moderators may:
- Remove content that violates this Code of Conduct
- Issue warnings to members
- Temporarily suspend accounts
- Permanently remove members who repeatedly violate guidelines
Moderation decisions are made at the discretion of The Rooted Wisdom team to maintain a respectful and safe learning environment.
6. Herbal Safety Disclaimer
Discussions within The Rooted Wisdom community often include conversations about herbs, traditional practices, and personal wellness experiences. Members may share their personal experiences with plants, preparations, and health practices.
All information shared in the community is intended for educational discussion and traditional knowledge exchange only.
Members acknowledge that:
- Community discussions do not constitute medical advice
- Individual health conditions require guidance from qualified healthcare professionals
- Herbal preparations and practices should be approached responsibly and with appropriate knowledge
- Members are responsible for their own decisions regarding herbal use or wellness practices
The Rooted Wisdom does not assume responsibility for outcomes resulting from practices discussed within the community.
7. Educational Content and Intellectual Property
The Rooted Wisdom community contains original educational materials including lessons, course content, plant teachings, recordings, worksheets, and other resources.
Members agree that:
- Course materials and teachings are provided for personal learning only
- Content may not be copied, redistributed, or republished outside the community without permission
- Sharing paid course materials publicly or within other communities is prohibited
- Teaching, repackaging, or selling Rooted Wisdom materials without permission is not allowed
Members may reference what they learn within their own practice but should not reproduce proprietary materials or course content.
8. Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to the moderators or administrators of the community.
Reports will be handled thoughtfully and confidentially whenever possible.
9. A Living Community
Communities evolve as they grow. This Code of Conduct may be updated as The Rooted Wisdom community expands.
Members will be notified of significant updates.
10. Agreement
By participating in The Rooted Wisdom website or community portal, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to follow this Community Code of Conduct and contribute to a respectful, supportive environment for learning and connection.
